Using Contrast To Improve Extracting Objects In Photoshop

Difficult Composite

Here’s a tip for extracting an object in Photoshop when the lines between your object and background are hard to distinguish.

Use high contrast and brightness on a duplicate layer to help you see where the lines are. Build your selection on that layer, then when your selection is made, switch back to your original layer and make your cut.
